Q: Will it still fade in the sun?
A: Like all natural materials, it will patina, but because the starting color is uniform, it will fade uniformly, maintaining a cohesive look.

Q: Do I need to mix pallets?
A: While we recommend mixing for the best look, our consistency is high enough that "shuffling" is much less critical than with Ipe or Teak.

Controlled Carbonization Cycle

The bamboo strands are heated in a computerized kiln. By controlling the exact duration and temperature of the steam/heat cycle, we caramelize the plant's sugars to a specific, repeatable color value.

Monolithic Color Options

Available in "Rich Espresso," "Deep Coffee," and "Golden Caramel." Each color is consistent from the surface to the core, allowing for edge-milling and cutting without revealing a different color underneath.
