2. High temperature and high pressure reorganization: core upgrade of structural performance

The high-temperature and high-pressure hot pressing process is the core link of the special process of outdoor heavy bamboo wall panels. The material performance jump is achieved through physical modification:
(1) Drying and glue application: Dry the fibrotic bamboo in an oven at 80-100℃ until the moisture content is ≤8%, and then spray evenly with environmentally friendly urea-formaldehyde resin (UF) or isocyanate glue (MDI), and control the adhesive amount to 8%-12% (accounting for the weight of the bamboo) to ensure the bonding strength between fibers.
(2) Paving and pre-pressing molding: Pave the bamboo wires/bamboo sheets after glue in the texture direction into slabs, apply 1-3MPa pressure through the pre-pressor, and initially fix the shape to make bamboo slabs with a density of about 0.6g/cm³.
(3) High temperature and high pressure hot press: The blank is fed to a hot press and continuously press for 2-3 hours at a temperature of 180-220℃ and 8-12MPa pressure. During this process, the lignin in the bamboo fibers melts and reacts with the adhesive to form a high-density composite structure, with the final density reaching 0.9-1.1g/cm³, and the compressive strength is increased to 80-100MPa, close to the level of ordinary steel.

(1) Anti-corrosion and insect control treatment: Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) is used to inject boron and copper composite preservative into the inside of the bamboo. The specific steps are: put the bamboo plate into a pressure tank, vacuum until -0.09MPa and maintain for 30 minutes, then inject the preservative solution and pressurize to (1)5MPa, and hold the pressure for 2 hours. This process enables the penetration depth of the preservative to be ≥5mm, effectively inhibiting the erosion of mold (such as penicillium, Aspergillus) and termites, and the anticorrosion level reaches GB/T 13942.1-I.
(2) Moisture-proof sealing treatment: Spray a nano-silicon dioxide coating on the surface of the bamboo board to form a waterproof film with a thickness of 20-50μm, so that the water absorption rate is ≤3%. The silane molecules in the coating react with bamboo fiber hydroxyl groups to enhance adhesion and ensure long-term effectiveness under rainwater erosion.

4. Carbonization and surface treatment: dual optimization of aesthetics and function

(1) High-temperature carbonization coloring: Put the bamboo plates into the carbonization kiln and last for 1-2 hours in an oxygen-free environment of 180-220℃. The sugar and pigments in bamboo are reacted in Maillard, and the surface appears dark coffee to charcoal black. At the same time, the density of the carbonized layer further increases, forming a natural weathering barrier, and the ultraviolet absorption rate increases by 60%, delaying the fading speed.
(2) Surface finishing and coating: The surface roughness of the bamboo board is controlled to Ra≤3.2μm by sander, and then brush and emboss the processing according to the needs to enhance the texture. Finally, water-based polyurethane varnish is sprayed to form a wear-resistant and stain-resistant coating, with a gloss controlled at 10-30GU, retaining the natural texture of the bamboo.
