Engineered bamboo can be machined, drilled, and tapped similar to metal or very hard timber. It is designed to work with heavy-duty mechanical anchors and structural adhesives.
Bamboo poles are crushed into fiber bundles, which are then saturated with weather-resistant resins. These fibers are aligned and pressed under heat to create a material that is effectively "reconstructed wood."
