Textured boards should be installed with consideration for water drainage. For "Wave" profiles, a slight pitch in the subframe ensures that water does not sit in the texture valleys.
Surface texturing occurs after the initial high-pressure compression. Specialized machines remove the softer parenchyma cells, leaving the harder vascular bundles exposed for a durable, non-slip finish.
The "Big Wave" profile is excellent for large-scale public decks. "Wire-Brushed" finishes highlight the natural fiber structure, giving the look of reclaimed hardwood with the strength of strandwoven bamboo.
