Product Details

The dark brown carbonized texture is suitable for modern/industrial landscapes, high humidity/strong UV areas, and low maintenance scenes.

After undergoing high-temperature carbonization treatment, the organic matter and sugar content within the bamboo material are decomposed, effectively resisting insect infestation and mold growth. Simultaneously, the water-absorbing groups of the bamboo are altered, leading to a significant reduction in moisture content. This enables the bamboo to maintain excellent dimensional stability even in outdoor environments characterized by humidity and significant temperature variations, making it less prone to cracking, deformation, or warping.

    01

Carbonized heavy bamboo wood composite outdoor flooring is engineered through strand woven technology with high-temperature carbonization at 180-200°C. The manufacturing process compresses bamboo fibers with phenolic resin under hydraulic pressure exceeding 1,200 tons, producing material density ranging from 1.15 g/cm³ to 1.25 g/cm³. The carbonization process removes organic sugars and starches from the bamboo structure, creating a deep brown color that penetrates the entire board thickness. This thermal treatment reduces equilibrium moisture content to 8-12%, providing dimensional stability and resistance to decay organisms. The surface features a subtle texture pattern that provides slip resistance in outdoor conditions. This flooring is specifically designed for exterior decking, patios, walkways, and commercial outdoor spaces where durability and weather resistance are required.

    Q Frequently Asked Questions
01 How does carbonization improve the durability of outdoor bamboo flooring? +

Carbonization at 180-200°C removes organic compounds from the bamboo fiber structure that attract decay organisms. This thermal treatment eliminates nutrient sources for fungi, mold, and termites. The carbonization also reduces equilibrium moisture content to 8-12%, limiting water absorption and dimensional movement. The resulting material provides natural durability without chemical preservatives, making it suitable for outdoor flooring applications where moisture exposure is continuous.

02 What is the recommended installation system? +

Two installation systems are recommended. The hidden clip system uses stainless steel clips that attach to the board's groove, providing a seamless appearance without visible fasteners. The face screw method uses stainless steel screws through pre-drilled countersunk holes. Both methods require joist spacing of 400mm maximum centers. Stainless steel grade 304 or 316 fasteners are required to prevent corrosion. Expansion gaps of 5-6mm between board ends and 3-4mm between board edges are required for thermal movement.

03 What maintenance is required for carbonized bamboo outdoor flooring? +

Regular maintenance includes quarterly sweeping to remove debris and annual cleaning with a soft-bristle brush and mild detergent. Pressure washing at 5-7 MPa with 300mm standoff distance is permitted for deep cleaning. Application of water-based outdoor oil every 12-24 months preserves surface appearance and water repellency. The carbonized color is inherent to the material and does not require color-specific maintenance. Fastener inspection should be performed annually.

04 How does carbonized bamboo compare to traditional wood decking? +

Carbonized bamboo decking offers several advantages over traditional wood decking. The strand woven construction provides Janka hardness exceeding 3,000 lbf, significantly higher than cedar, pine, or redwood. The carbonized material provides natural decay resistance without chemical treatments. The material density provides resistance to denting and mechanical damage. Bamboo is also a rapidly renewable resource, reaching harvest maturity in 5-7 years compared to 30-50 years for hardwoods. The carbonized deep brown color provides architectural warmth without staining.
