For bridges, we support both hidden stainless steel clips and structural thru-bolting for maximum safety. The high density of the material ensures that the bolts do not "crush" the fiber, maintaining a permanent, secure connection to the bridge frame.
We use long-strip Moso bamboo strands that are oriented longitudinally during the pressing process. This ensures the maximum possible tensile strength and structural integrity along the length of the bridge plank.
The surface is usually finished with deep grooves to maximize water drainage and prevent hydroplaning for cyclists. Dark "Java" or "Industrial Grey" tones are popular for their ability to hide tire marks and heavy shoe wear.
